Estimated Sales Numbers For August 2008-Shipping Animated Comics

Below are the total estimated sales numbers for the animated comics that shipped in August 2008.

The Batman Strikes! #48 – 6,702

Legion of Super Heroes In The 31st Century #17 – 5,925

Both titles experienced a slight dip in sales, likely due to the announcement of the cancelations of both titles. The Batman Strikes released its final issue earlier this month, with Legion of Super Heroes In The 31st Century to follow next month, in November 2008. Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans Go! were both recently cancelled by DC Comics, releasing their respective final issues within weeks of each other. DC Comics has no plans to currently revisit these titles in the near future, with the exception of possible collection releases.

The next animated-inspired comic title, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, is slated to hit stands in early 2009.
