Teletoon Releases “Justice League” Animated Series April 2010 Episode Schedule

Below are official descriptions and airdates for episodes of the classic Justice League animated series slated to air for April 2010 on the Canadian network Teletoon. The information listed below is provided by Teletoon.

Friday, April 9th, 2010 – “Legends, Part Two”
During a fight with Lex Luthor, the Justice League is blasted into an alternate reality where they meet the Justice Guild of America, a group of old-fashioned comic book heroes whose exploits Green Lantern remembers reading about when he was a kid. Part two of a two-part episode.

Friday, April 16th, 2010 – “A Knight of Shadows, Part One”
Assisted by the demon Etrigan, the Justice League must stop an ancient sorceress, Morgaine Le Fey, from finding the Sorcerer’s Stone–a legendary object that would give her the power to rule the world.

Friday, April 23rd, 2010 – “A Knight of Shadows, Part Two”
Assisted by the demon Etrigan, the Justice League must stop an ancient sorceress, Morgaine Le Fey, from finding the Sorcerer’s Stone–a legendary object that would give her the power to rule the world.

Friday, April 30th, 2009 – “The Savage Time, Part One”
When the Justice League returns from a mission in space, the superheroes find that the world has changed and that it is now ruled by a ruthless, repressive dictator named Vandal Savage. To restore life as they know it, the members of the Justice League must travel back in time and team with Sgt. Rock and The Blackhawks to refight World War II.

Sunday, April 11th, 2010 – “012 – Deep Cover for Batman!”
Batman swaps places with Owlman–his criminal counterpart in an alternate Universe–to stop the Crime Syndicate (think evil Justice League) from taking over the world.

Sunday, April 18th, 2010 – “013 – Game Over for Owlman!”
On Earth, Owlman has been perpetrating crimes disguised as Batman and assembled all the villains to join him. Batman returns and teams with Joker to take Owlman down while avoiding all the heroes who are after him.

Sunday, April 25th, 2010 – “014 – Mystery in Space!”
On his birthday, a melancholy Aquaman joins Batman for a space adventure on Adam Strange’s home planet of Rann where the aquatic hero washes away his birthday blues with an epic battle against the Gordanians.

Batman: The Brave and The Bold airs every Sunday at 9am (ET) on the Teletoon “Action Force” programming block, with Sunday-premiering episodes re-airing Fridays at 7pm (ET) as part of the “Superfan Fridays” programming block.

The Worlds Finest has confirmed with La-La Land Records that the long-awaited Wonder Woman Soundtrack From the DC Universe Animated Original Movie score soundtrack CD release is slated to be made available to own beginning Wednesday, April 7th, 2010. “Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths” Feature Debuts To High Home Video Numbers


According to various home media retailing outlets and independent research, the recent Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths direct-to-video animated feature was the top performer for Warner Home Video in its debut week, outselling both the home video releases of Warner Home Video’s The Informant! and The Box by roughly 50,000 units. The animated feature hit the DVD sales chart at #2 in its first week, selling an estimated 205,500 copies for the week ending February 28th, 2010. Additionally, the Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Blu-ray release also moved nearly 60,000 estimated units in the same time period. Keep in mind the sales numbers above do not take into account rental numbers, OnDemand numbers, or legal download numbers.

To compare, the previous “DC Universe Animated Original Movie” title Superman/Batman: Public Enemies debuted with an estimated 198,000 DVDs sold during its debut week in September 2009.

Latest Cast Details For Upcoming “Batman: Under The Red Hood” Animated Feature

The Worlds Finest has confirmed that actor Wade Williams will play the part of Black Mask in the upcoming direct-to-video Batman: Under the Red Hood animated feature, the next title in the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line. Williams is best known for his role in the recent Prison Break series that aired on the Fox network.

The Batman: Under the Red Hood direct-to-video animated feature is directed by Superman Doomsday co-director Brandon Vietti, and features the voice talents of Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek) as Batman, Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) as Red Hood, Neil Patrick Harris (Justice League: The New Frontier) as Nightwing, John DiMaggio (Batman: The Brave and The Bold) as the Joker and Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter film franchise) as Ra’s Al Ghul. Bruce Timm is the executive producer.

In related news, The World’s Finest can confirm recent reports that The Spectacular Spider-Man producer Greg Weisman pulled writing duties for the upcoming DC Showcase: Green Arrow animated short. The short is slated to be included on an upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie home video release.
