May 2010 “Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Episode Airdate Schedule For Teletoon

Teletoon has provided the following schedule details for episodes of the Batman: The Brave and The Bold animated series slated to air on the Canadian network in May 2010. Below are official descriptions and airdates for the May 2010-scheduled episodes, with information provided by Teletoon.

Friday, May 7th, 2010 at 7:00pm (ET)- “Trials of the Demon!”
In 19th century London, Jason Blood – aka The Demon Etrigan – has been framed for supernatural attacks perpetrated by Gentleman Ghost. Batman travels back in time and teams with Sherlock Holmes to stop Gentleman Ghost before he brings a demon from the underworld to Earth.

Friday, May 14th, 2010 at 7:00pm (ET) – “Night of the Huntress!”
Blue Beetle develops a crush on the slightly older and far-more-dangers femme fatale Huntress (who kinda has a thing for Bats), but there is little time for love with Baby Face busting his gang out of prison for a major heist.

Friday, May 21st, 2010 at 7:00pm (ET) – “Menace of the Conqueror Caveman!”
31st Century Booster Gold travels back 100 centuries to join Batman become a celebrity hero. In his quest for fame, he unwittingly enables the immortal tyrant Vandal Savage to carry out his nefarious plot.

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 at 9:00am (ET) – “The Color of Revenge!”
Batman and Robin team up again, but it’s not like it always was–there was a reason Robin left to go work on his own. As Crazy Quilt comes after Robin for revenge, all the dirty laundry comes out between the dynamic duo.

Please note that Batman: The Brave and The Bold will be pre-empted on Sunday, May 2nd, 2010, Sunday, May 9th, 2010 and Sunday, May 16th, 2010 due to special programming on Teletoon. Details on said special programming is available at Marvel Animation Age. Schedule details are subject to change without notice.

Batman: The Brave and The Bold airs every Sunday at 9am (ET) on the Teletoon “Action Force” programming block, with Sunday-premiering episodes re-airing Fridays at 7pm (ET) as part of the “Superfan Fridays” programming block.

Batman confronts new enemies, old foes and painful memories when a powerful vigilante with a penchant for violence comes to Gotham City in the intense graphic-novel-come-to-life Batman: Under the Red Hood, the next entry in the popular ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies coming July 27, 2010 from Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation. The full-length film will be distributed by Warner Home Video as a Special Edition version on Blu-Ray and 2 disc DVD for $29.99 (SRP) and $24.98 (SRP), respectively, as well as single disc DVD for $19.98 (SRP). The film will also be available On Demand and for Download.

The stellar voice cast has Bruce Greenwood (Captain Pike in the 2009 blockbuster Star Trek) donning the famed cowl as the voice of Batman. Supernatural star Jensen Ackles is Red Hood, and Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) voices Nightwing. John DiMaggio (Futurama) and Jason Issacs (the Harry Potter films) round out the main cast as The Joker and Ras Al Ghul, respectively.

Batman: Under the Red Hood is scripted by award-winning comics writer Judd Winick and based on his popular 2005 comics storyline and subsequent comics graphic novel of the same name. Animation guru Bruce Timm returns as executive producer, as he has for all eight DC Universe animated original movies. Director is Brandon Vietti, who served as co-director of Superman Doomsday and was responsible for the first one-third of that film, including the fatal battle between the two title characters.

In Batman: Under the Red Hood, Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. And when The Joker falls in the balance between the two, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened.

Fans will be treated to an incredible package of DC Universe storytelling as the Special Edition Blu-Ray and 2-Disc Special Edition DVD include the second animated short in the all-new DC Showcase series which features the popular DC Comics character, Jonah Hex. The short is scripted by renowned author Joe Lansdale and stars the voices of Thomas Jane (Hung), Linda Hamilton (The Terminator), Michelle Trachtenberg (Mercy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Michael Rooker (Days of Thunder).

Second Season Of “Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Coming To Teletoon Fall 2010

A representative for Teletoon has confirmed new episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold will return to the network come Fall 2010. The episodes will include 26 installments of the animated series new to the Canadian network. This will include Batman: The Brave and The Bold episodes “Chill of the Night!,” “Aquamans Outrageous Adventures!,” “The Super-Batman From Planet X!,” “Sidekicks Assemble!,” and more. WaterTower Music Label Releasing “Batman: Under The Red Hood” Score Soundtrack

WaterTower Music is currently slated to handle the soundtrack score release for the upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie title Batman: Under the Red Hood. Official press details for the soundtrack will be made available in the coming months. The soundtrack score release is expected to be made available on compact disc and through digital download day and date with the home video release of the animated feature, scheduled for Summer 2010. “Young Justice” Animated Series Officially Announced at Cartoon Network 2010 Upfronts

Cartoon Network revealed their plans for the 2010-2011 television season, including early details on the new Young Justice animated series. What if youre a teenage super hero? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove youre worthy of the Justice League? Thats exactly what the members of Young Justice Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemiswill find out, whether they have what it takes to be a proven hero. This all-new series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based upon characters from DC Comics.

Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the executive producer. Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman Doomsday, The Batman) and Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, W.I.T.C.H.) are the producers.
