Teletoon Airing “Batman: Gotham Knight” July 2010, Upcoming Releases Update
The 2008 direct-to-video Batman: Gotham Knight animated feature will return to the Canadian network Teletoon on Friday, July 2nd, 2010 at 10:00pm (ET) as part of the “Feature Friday” programming block on Teletoon. Acclaimed screenwriters including David Goyer (Batman Begins), Josh Olson (A History of Violence) and Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series) join forces with revered animation filmmakers on six spellbinding chapters chronicling Batman’s transition from novice crimefighter to The Dark Knight. These globe-spanning adventures pit Batman against the fearsome Scarecrow, the freakish Killer Croc and the unerring marksman Deadshot. From some of the world’s most visionary animators comes a thrilling depiction of Batman as man, myth and legend.

Teletoon is also slated to air the DC Universe Animated Original Movie title Superman/Batman: Public Enemies earlier on the same day, July 2nd, 2010, at 8:30pm (ET). In related news, Warner Home Video has recently issued several new titles for upcoming home video releases from the studio. The following titles added to Warner Home Video’s upcoming slate of releases, in relation to upcoming related animated projects, include Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, Batman: Year One and Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. DC Showcase is still listed by Warner Home Video as an upcoming title. Titles Batman & Superman 75th Anniversary Collection and DC 75th Anniversary Theme Compilation are also listed, but there is no designation on whether these releases are live-action or animated.
