Final “Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Issue To Be Released In October 2010

DC Comics has released comic solicitation information for the publisher’s October 2010 library of releases, including details for Batman: The Brave and The Bold #22, the solicited final issue of the comic title based on the popular animated series of the same name. Official details for Batman: The Brave and The Bold #22, scheduled to ship in October 2010, can be found below. The solicited story was originally scheduled to be published in Batman: The Brave and The Bold #17. Additionally, DC Comics has released details for a second Batman: The Brave and The Bold trade paperback release, scheduled to hit shelves in November 2010.

La-La Land Records has announced official details for an upcoming expanded soundtrack CD release for the celebrated Batman (1989) score by composer Danny Elfman, including availability. Details, including cover artwork and track listing, are available below courtesy of La-La Land Records.

La-La Land Records announces three special releases, available at their booth at San Diegos Comic Con on July 21-25 (including preview night): Predators (John Debney), and two 2CD sets – Batman: Limited Edition (Danny Elfman ) and Krull: Limited Edition (James Horner). All three recordings will be available via www.lalalandrecords.com on July 27th but you can grab them first at the con! In addition to these premiere releases, there will be special appearances and great deals on La-La Land Records soundtracks at their display, housed at the Toy Hungry booth, space #429. As part of our Expanded Archival Collection, La-La Land Records presents the World premiere release of the film version of Danny Elfmans acclaimed original score to the 1989 Warner Bros. blockbuster Batman, starring Jack Nicholson, Michael Keaton and Kim Basinger and directed by Tim Burton. With a running time of 144 minutes, this 2-CD set, produced by Dan Goldwasser, Neil S. Bulk and MV Gerhard, and remastered by James Nelson, features the previously unreleased film version of Mr. Elfmans score, as well as a remastered presentation of the 1989 soundtrack album and never-before-released Bonus Tracks. 20 Page CD Booklet features in-depth liner notes by Jeff Bond. About this release: In order to present as much music as possible from Batman in the best possible quality, multiple sources were utilized with the best-quality elements selected for each cue on an individual basis. For disc one and the bonus cues on disc two, three sources were used: Eric Tomlinsons 35mm 4-track mixes, 1/4 inch stereo mixes and a stereo 35mm music only track. The album cues on disc two were sourced from the original digital album master featuring Shawn Murphys stereo album mix.

Warner Home Video Comic-Con Plans, “Batman: Under The Red Hood” Images

COMIC-CON NIGHTS BELONG TO WARNER HOME VIDEO
Bruce Greenwood, Thomas Jane, Corey Feldman, Kevin Smith headline WHV presence at 2010 CCI

The night belongs to Warner Home Video at 2010 Comic-Con International as WHV presents nightly premieres of the Batman: Under the Red Hood,
Secret Origins: The Story of DC Comics, Lost Boys: The Thirst, and Cop Out (in Maximum Comedy Mode).

Also on the WHV slate is a Saturday afternoon presentation of its DC Showcase original animated shorts,
including the premiere of an all-new Jonah Hex short.


The WHV schedule kicks off Thursday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. with the premiere of Secret Origins: The Story of DC Comics, an all-new documentary celebrating the amazing tales of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Watchmen and the equally impressive story of the challenges, creativity and triumphs of the company that brought those characters to life. Distinguished panelists Denny O’Neil, Jim Lee, Len Wein, Karen Berger, Gerard Jones, Mac Carter and more will be featured on a post-premiere discussion of the compelling insiders tale, which is narrated by Ryan Reynolds. On Thursday, July 22 at 10:00 p.m., the Frog Brothers return to Comic-Con with holy water balloons ablazin for the World Premiere of Lost Boys: The Thirst, the latest high-energy, action-packed adventure in the ongoing franchise. Original cast members Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander will be on-hand to chat about the first-ever screening of the cult classics third film in which the lost boys and girls of San Cazador prepare to party under the Blood Moon while an alpha vampire conspires to turn these unsuspecting ravers into an army of undead. The only thing that stands between him and the annihilation of the entire human race is the infamous vampire-fighting Frog Brothers. Expect some serious blood-sucker butt kicking. And Warner Bros. is providing the free popcorn! Location: Indigo Room, Bayfront Hilton.

On Friday, July 23 at 8:00 p.m., the spotlight turns to Ballroom 20 for the World Premiere of Batman: Under the Red Hood. The highly-anticipated eighth entry in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies finds Batman facing his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. Star Trek’s Bruce Greenwood (Batman) makes his Comic-Con debut to lead a post-premiere panel that includes Futurama’s John DiMaggio (Joker), Vincent Martella (Robin), executive producer Bruce Timm, director Brandon Vietti, screenwriter Judd Winick and casting/dialogue director Andrea Romano. Fans will also get the inside scoop on the entire 2011 slate of DC Universe Animated Original Movies, and a first-look at the next DCU film, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.

As thousands of fans have been turned away from past “sold out” DCU film premieres at the 4,250-seat Ballroom 20, Warner Home Video is proud to present an encore screening of Batman: Under the Red Hood on Friday, July 23 at 10:15 p.m.

Thomas Jane (HBO’s Hung; The Punisher) leads the hour-long “DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection: Jonah, Hex, Green Arrow and beyond!” panel on Saturday, July 24 at 3:00 p.m. The panel will include the world premiere of Jonah Hex, an advance look at Green Arrow, and details regarding the upcoming compilation Blu-ray/DVD release anchored by Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam. Joining the panel is executive producer Bruce Timm, producer Alan Burnett, and acclaimed writers Joe Lansdale and Greg Weisman. Location: Room 7AB

Kevin Smith commands Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. with an introduction of Cop Out in “Maximum Comedy Mode,” the latest innovation in home entertainment viewing that showcases director Kevin Smith and Seann William Scott guiding Blu-ray viewers through the comical stunts, improvisations and hijinks that went into creating this side-splitting buddy cop film starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. Teletoon Debuts New “Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Episodes In Fall 2010

Teletoon has released a press release promoting the new fall schedule for the popular Canadian animation station. The complete press release follows directly after the official press details for the new season of Batman: The Brave and The Bold slated to debut on the network beginning November 2010, available below.

The Dark Knight teams up to fight crime alongside heroes from across the DC Universe, including Blue Beetle, Green Arrow and Aquaman. With formidable foes around every corner, the Caped Crusader still relies on his stealth, resourcefulness and limitless supply of cool gadgets to uphold justice.

Batman: The Brave and The Bold will debut new episodes every Friday at 7:00pm (ET) beginning November 5th, 2010, with reruns to air the following Sunday at 9:30pm (ET). Additionally, Justice League returns to Teletoon in the fall with classic episodes airing every Friday at 7:30pm (ET) on the network.

TELETOON CANADA UNVEILS A SCORCHING HOT FALL 2010 LINEUP

Teletoon Canada inc. today announced its fall 2010 lineup for Teletoon, Teletoon at Night and Teletoon Retro. Launching on Monday, September 6, 2010, Teletoon’s new slate is full of comedy and action, with just the right amount of thrills, chills and belly-aching laughter.
