Details For Upcoming New “Young Justice” Episodes Slated For February 2011

Cartoon Network has released early schedule details for the February 2011 installments of Young Justice, the new animated series from Warner Bros. Animation. Young Justice is airs Fridays at 7:00pm (ET) on Cartoon Network, with special encore presentations airing Sundays at 8:00pm (ET). The schedule break-down is as follows below.

February 4th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET)
Young Justice – “Schooled”
Superboy’s anger over his non-relationship with Superman is getting out of control. He refuses to train with Black Canary, and when The Team faces an opponent that even the Justice League had trouble defeating, the Boy of Steel goes rogue.

February 11th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET)
Young Justice – “Infiltrator”
Artemis faces an uphill battle winning over her new teammates, as she tries to fill Red Arrow’s boots on a mission he initiated: saving a brilliant young scientist from the League of Shadows.

February 18th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET)
Young Justice – “Denial”
When The Team investigates the disappearance of Kent Nelson, formerly Doctor Fate, the scientific-minded Wally West is forced to confront his disbelief in magic while battling Abra Kadabra and Klarion the Witch Boy, for the ultra-powerful Helmet of Fate.

Please note that Young Justice will be pre-empted on Friday, February 25th, 2011, but will return Friday, March 4th, 2010 at 7:00pm (ET) with the new episode “Downtime.”

Additionally, The World’s Finest would like to express our condolences to the friends and family of Boyd Kirkland, who passed away last week while waiting for a lung transplant at UCLA Medical Center. Kirkland played an integral part in many different animated shows and features beloved by countless fans over the years, including Batman: The Animated Series among many others. He will truly be missed.

Services have been scheduled for Tuesday, February 1st, 2011.

New “Young Justice” Animated Series Pulls In Strong Ratings, Episode Details

Cartoon Network’s latest addition to its Friday night line-up is drawing in solid ratings according to data released by Nielsen Media Research and Turner Broadcasting System. Since its debut in November 2010 and regular airings starting in January 2011, Young Justice has been pulling in consistent and solid numbers. The official press details can be found below.

Last week, Cartoon Network achieved the #1 destination on all television among Boys 9-14 on Friday night (7-9 p.m.), which charted double-digit growth among kids and boys 9-14 versus the same time period last year. The animated action-adventure block earned 29% delivery gains among kids 9-14 (468,000) and 27% ratings gains (1.9). Across the block, boys 9-14 delivery (391,000) surged by 44% and ratings (3.1) by 41%, while boys 6-11 delivery (464,000) grew by 4% and ratings (3.7) by 6%.

Leading the Friday night line-up, Young Justice (7 p.m.) scored 22% growth among kids 9-14 (495,000) and 18% growth among ratings (2.0). Boys 9-14 delivery (382,000) increased by 26% and ratings (3.1) by 29%. Even more impressive, Ben 10: Alien Force (7:30 p.m.) achieved 27% growth among kids 9-14 delivery (387,000), 23% growth among ratings (1.6), and 56% growth among boys 9-14 delivery (345,000) and ratings (2.8). And to crown the evening, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (8:30 p.m.) improved kids 9-14 delivery (603,000) and ratings (2.5) by 39%, and boys 9-14 delivery (491,000) and ratings (3.9) by 44%.

Young Justice airs on Cartoon Network every Friday at 7:00pm (ET), with the network airing special encore presentations the following Sunday at 8:00pm (ET). Additionally, The World’s Finest has learned that the Young Justice episode scheduled to air February 11th, 2011 is titled “Infiltrator.” The episode will air at 7pm (ET) on Cartoon Network. “Batman: Under The Red Hood” World Broadcast Debut On Teletoon March 2011

The 2010 direct-to-video Batman: Under the Red Hood animated feature will make its Canadian network debut and world broadcast premiere on Friday, March 17th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET) as a special Teletoon presentation. “Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker” Animated Title Hitting Blu-ray April 2011

The controversial and acclaimed direct-to-video animated feature Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker is set to hit Blu-ray on April 5th, 2011 from Warner Home Video for $19.98. The Blu-ray feature will include the PG-13 “uncut” edition of the first feature-length Batman Beyond animated feature.
