“Justice League,” “Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Teletoon Schedule For May 2011

Teletoon has provided the following schedule details for episodes of the Batman: The Brave and The Bold animated series slated to air on the Canadian network during May 2011, highlighted by an entire month of new-to-the-network episodes of the acclaimed cartoon. Friday, May 6th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET)- “Plague of the Prototypes!”
When Batman is on call, Gotham is kept safe by his squad of trusty Bat-Robots, but when Black Mask reprograms the unstoppable soldiers to do his bidding, Batman must blow the dust off “Proto,” his bumbling (but good-hearted) beta-test robot to help him stop the villain.

Friday, May 13th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET) – “Cry Freedom Fighters!”
When an alien race tries to invade Earth, Batman, Plastic Man and the Freedom Fighters (led by Uncle Sam) race to their planet to stop them.

Friday, May 20th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET) – “Knights of Tomorrow!”
A glimpse into the future reveals Dick Grayson has assumed the Batman mantle after the Caped Crusader retired and fathered a son, Damian, with Catwoman. Despite his parents wishes, Damian does not want to follow their legacy, but when Joker returns, he may have no choice!

Friday, May 27th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET) – “Darkseid Descending!”
Batman assembles a new, motley Justice League to thwart a pending Earth invasion by Darkseid. The rag-tag group can hardly get along– let alone battle a near god–but when they become Earth’s last hope, they have to learn to pull it together

Batman: The Brave and The Bold airs every Friday at 7:00pm (ET) on the Teletoon “Superfan Friday” programming block, with Friday-premiering episodes re-airing Sundays at 8:30am (ET) as part of the “Action Block” programming block. Friday, May 6th, 2011 at 7:30pm (ET) – “Metamorphosis, Part Two”
While on duty, Green Lantern reunites with Rex Mason, an old ex-Marine buddy who is now a successful executive at a large chemical company. But after Rex is exposed to a powerful mutagen that transforms him into a freakish abomination called Metamorpho, he blames his old friend Green Lantern and vows to destroy him.

Friday, May 13th, 2011 at 7:30pm (ET)- “The Savage Time, Part One”
When the Justice League returns from a mission in space, the superheroes find that the world has changed and that it is now ruled by a ruthless, repressive dictator named Vandal Savage. To restore life as they know it, the members of the Justice League must travel back in time and team with Sgt. Rock and The Blackhawks to refight World War II.

“The All-New Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Collection Arriving September 2011

The first six issues of the current The All-New Batman: The Brave and The Bold comic series, published by DC Comics and based on the popular Batman: The Brave and The Bold Cartoon Network series, are set to be collected later this year in the first trade collection for the title.

The issues collected, issues #1 – 6, feature Superman, Shazam, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Guy Gardner the Green Lantern, and the Martian Manhunter. All collected stories are written by Sholly Fisch and feature artwork by Rick Burchett.

While an exact street date has not been set, The All-New Batman: The Brave and The Bold – Volume One is set to hit shelves in September 2011. Please note that name is also temporary, and will likely change before the final product and street date details are released by DC Comics.

While this is the first trade paperback collection for the The All Batman: The Brave and The Bold DC Comics title, it is the fourth overall for the comics based on the fan-favorite animated series. Two other trade paperbacks for the previous Batman: The Brave and The Bold comic series have been published, with a third set for release next month.
