Being a teenager means proving yourself over and over – to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and ultimately, to yourself. But what if you were a teenage superhero? How much harder would it be to prove yourself in a world of super powers, super villains and super secrets? Would you be ready for life or death rites of passage? Would you be ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you’re worthy of the Justice League? That’s exactly what Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis will find out as members of Young Justice.

With seven issues in total, including the special #0 preview issue, the Young Justice comic series is not only a consistent performer in the comic book market place, but is also the highest selling All-Ages title from DC Comics. The title features stories that expand on the continuity of the hit Young Justice animated series, providing a closer look at the team and their world. The series debuted in January 2011 with a special #0 preview issue, with issue #1 following in February.
Young Justice sold nearly 11,000 copies with it’s #1 issue, one of the highest recorded debuts for an all-ages Johnny DC title. The title experienced standard attrition in the following months, as comic shops leveled their orders to meet the expectant demand. Not only did initial sales level out quickly, a rarity in the direct comic market, but they are also remaining consistent. However, sales for the title are expected to increase with issue #7, now on shelves, the debut of Young Justice series producer Greg Weisman as co-writer for the comic. Below are sales numbers for the first seven issues of the Young Justice DC Comics title, including the #0 preview issue.
Young Justice #0 (January 2011) – 9,412 Young Justice #1 (February 2011) – 10,777 Young Justice #2 (March 2011) – 9,612 Young Justice #3 (April 2011) – 9,407 Young Justice #4 (May 2011) – 9,729 Young Justice #5 (June 2011) – 8,988 Young Justice #6 (July 2011) – 8,642
The above numbers highlight a steady performance for the series, despite the slight decrease in units ordered month-to-month, indicating a loyal audience for the title. Please note the above numbers are for direct market sales only. Digital sales and newsstand sales are not included.
The next issue of Young Justice, issue #8, hits shelves next week on September 21st, 2011 for the cover price of $2.99US. Further details on this issue are available here.

The artists featured on Batman: Arkham City The Album approached their contributions to the album with their own unique interpretations of the stories surrounding Batman. The result is an eclectic mix of dynamic, atmospheric songs for an album that will appeal to fans of both the artists and Batman: Arkham City. Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez said, I write in a very conceptual format with the stories that surround Coheed and Cambria, but Batman has a much larger, defined history and rules that go along with it. My goal was to find universal themes from Batmans existing history to help give the lyrics legs and dimension so that the song could live within that world.
