Lolita Ritmanis, Michael McCuistion, Kristopher Carter Featured At “PlayFest” Event Starting This Weekend
Lolita Ritmanis, Michael McCuistion & Kristopher Carter – also known as Dynamic Music Partners – travel to Spain this coming Sunday, July 22nd, 2012 to be featured guests at PlayFest – the festival for music for animation and video games. The BSOSpirit Association is organizing the first edition of PlayFest, which will be held in Úbeda from the July 23rd to July 29th, 2012. Ritmanis, McCuistion, and Carter have a full schedule of events scheduled for the festival – including a master class for composers on Tuesday, July 24th, presenting a panel for film music fans on Friday, July 27th, and participating in a panel honoring the late Shirley Walker on Saturday, July 28th. This all culminated with a special concert where fans will hear music from their favorite shows, including special musical suites performed by an 80-piece orchestra and choir. The performance will include pieces from Justice League, Batman Beyond, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, and Justice League Unlimited. Dynamic Music Partners will be posting live updates from the festival on their official website.
Lolita Ritmanis, Michael McCuistion, and Kristopher Carter all took a few moments to share their thoughts on their upcoming appearance on PlayFest, and why this event is not to be missed.
“What a terrific opportunity to connect with the people who are interested in our music!,” says McCuiston. “I’m particularly excited to hear the live orchestral suites, since much of this music has never been performed with live musicians before – It’s going to be awesome!”
“I love to travel and experience different cultures,” adds Ritmanis. “The fact that we will have an opportunity to break bread with fans of our music half way across the world is quite wonderful!”
“The night of the concert we will be paying a musical visit to the scores from some of our favorite projects like dear friends we’ve known for many years – such as Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and Justice League – to more recent companions – such as Ben 10 and Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” Carter says. ” I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share our work in this way and celebrate music for animation and video games with fans of both genres!”
