Warner Home Video Releases New Image From “Superman: Unbound” Animated Feature

Warner Home Video has released a new image from the upcoming Superman: Unbound animated feature, hitting home video and digital outlets on May 7th, 2013. The title is the latest installment of the ongoing DC Universe Animated Original Movie line. Superman: Unbound adapts the acclaimed comic storyline “Superman: Brainiac” by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank. “Man of Steel” Coming To Theatres June 14th, 2013

Blu-Ray, DVD Package Artwork For “Superman: Unbound” Animated Feature Release

Warner Home Video has released the back cover package artwork for the single-disc DVD release and Blu-ray Combo Pack release for Superman: Unbound, the next entry in the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line. Superman: Unbound, an adaptation of the acclaimed “Superman: Brainiac” by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, is set to hit shelves May 7th, 2013 on home video and through assorted digital and OnDemand outlets. The Superman: Unbound Blu-ray Combo release is set to include all-new featurettes, along with a first look at the upcoming Justice League: The Flashpoint paradox animated feature and four bonus episodes. The animated feature currently has a 75 minute run-time. Specific details are available here.

“Green Lantern: The Animated Series,” “Young Justice” Reruns Round-Out March 2013 On DC Nation

Reruns of previous Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice episodes will wrap-up the March 2013 schedule of DC Nation. The weekly DC Nation programming block airs Saturdays beginning at 10:00am (ET/PT). Both Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice, both part of the DC Nation block, will air their respective series finales on March 16th, 2013. The Green Lanterns travel to a prison asteroid to find a legendary code that holds the key to crossing an impenetrable asteroid barrier called “The Maelstrom” before Atrocitus and his Red Lantern armada can do so. Unfortunately, a Thanagarian prisoner named Byth Rok is the only one that knows the code.

Hal and the Green Lanterns travel to one of the Ancient Wonders of the Galaxy – the Lighthouse – so they can seal off any path through The Maelstrom and prevent the Red Lantern armada from getting through. Atrocitus, the Red Lantern leader, sets a trap for Hal and manages to steal the ship so that he may finally have his vengeance on the Guardians.
