Warner Home Video has released a new image from the upcoming direct-to-video Justice League: War animated feature. Wonder Woman takes the spotlight in the new image. The upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie title, scheduled for release come Early 2014 from Warner Home Video, will be an adaptation of the “Justice League: Origin” storyline recently published by DC Comics. “Justice League: Origin,” written by Geoff Johns with artwork by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, kicked off the comic publisher’s current ongoing “The New 52” comic-line initiative. The announced cast for Justice League: War so far includes Jason O’Mara as Batman, Alan Tudyk as Superman, Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman, Justin Kirk as Green Lantern, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, and Shemar Moore as Cyborg. Jay Oliva is confirmed as director for Justice League: War, with Heath Corson adapting the original “Justice League: Origin” story.
Justice League: War is set for release come Early 2014 as part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line from Warner Home Video. The 2011 direct-to-video All-Star Superman animated feature is slated to air tonight, Friday, August 30th, 2013 at 9:00pm (ET/PT) on the Canadian network Teletoon. All-Star Superman is part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line from Warner Home Video, Warner Bros. Animation, and DC Entertainment. All-Star Superman features Superman pondering his future after a rescue mission to the sun exposes him to radiation. The DC Universe Animated Original Movies are regular fixtures on the animation-themed network, with assorted titles from the line airing multiple times throughout the year. Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation have released media for new animated short-form content set to debut this Saturday, August 31st, 2013 during the DC Nation programming block. The animated short “Metal Men” will make its debut this weekend. The hour-long DC Nation programming block airs Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00am (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network. The DC Nation animated shorts star a host of different DC Comics characters in varying styles, and are usually paired with live-action interstitials.
