“Batman: The Brave And The Bold,” “Green Lantern: The Animated Series,” “Young Justice” Reruns On Cartoon Network Canada

Reruns of the 65-episode series Batman: The Brave and The Bold, the entire 26-episode run of Green Lantern: The Animated Series and the first 26-episodes of Young Justice will be part of the regular Fall 2013 schedule on Cartoon Network Canada. These three series – based on popular DC Comics characters, produced by Warner Bros. Animation and critically-acclaimed – are some of the highest-rated programs on Cartoon Network Canada. The information was released through a press release announcing the upcoming season programming, including details for Teletoon, Teletoon Retro, Cartoon Network Canada, and Adult Swim. Batman: The Brave and The Bold
Airs Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. ET/PT
Starting September 2nd, 2013 on Cartoon Network Canada

Building on the iconic character of Batman, this interpretation of the classic Batman franchise finds Batman teaming up with heroes from across the DC Comics Universe, delivering non-stop action and adventure with a touch of comic relief in this stylish animated series. Best of all, Batman isn’t going at it alone! Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, Aquaman and countless others will get a chance to uphold justice alongside him. Though still based in Gotham City, the Caped Crusader will frequently find himself outside city limits, facing situations that are both unfamiliar and exhilarating. With formidable foes around every corner, Batman will still rely on his stealth, resourcefulness and limitless supply of cool gadgets to bring justice home!

Green Lantern: The Animated Series
Airs Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT
Starting September 2nd, 2013 on Cartoon Network Canada

As Earth’s Green Lantern, Hal Jordan is used to being in dangerous situations — but he’s never faced anything like this! Set at the farthest reaches of deep space, Green Lantern: The Animated Series finds Hal on the Guardian Frontier, where he must face down an invasion by the Red Lantern Corps. Powered by pure rage, the evil Red Lanterns have sworn to destroy the Green Lantern Corps and everything they stand for. Dispatched on the experimental spacecraft The Interceptor, Hal is soon joined by an all-new group of heroes on a mission to protect Guardian Space — and the Green Lantern Corps itself!

Young Justice
Airs Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT
Starting September 2nd, 2013 on Cartoon Network Canada

In Young Justice, being a teenager means proving yourself over and over – to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you’re not just a normal teenager? What if you’re a teenage super hero? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you’re worthy of the Justice League? That’s exactly what the members of Young Justice – Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis – will find out, whether they have what it takes to be a proven hero.

“Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox” Special Edition DVD Release Officially Announced

The two-disc Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox – Special Edition DVD release, currently available as a retail exclusive through Wal-Mart, will be available at all retail and digital outlets starting Tuesday, September 10th, 2013. Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is the latest installment of the successful ongoing DC Universe Animated Original Movies line from Warner Home Video, this time focusing on the famed DC Comics character The Flash. The animated feature is based on the recent DC Comics mini-series event “Flashpoint,” which resulted in the creation of the publisher’s current “The New 52” initiative. Cartoon Network has provided The World’s Finest with new stills and clips from the upcoming Beware The Batman episode “Toxic,” airing Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at 10:00am (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network. Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogue gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld. Beware The Batman
“Toxic” airs Saturday, August 17th, 2013 on Cartoon Network

Responding to a break-in at Stagg Industries, Batman rescues a security guard named Rex Mason who had been exposed to a weaponized toxic gas called Project Metamorpho. Soon, Rex begins to mutate, with the ability to control the elements in his own body. Terrified and unable to control his new abilities, Rex becomes a fugitive. Realizing that this metamorphosis is slowly killing Rex, Batman sets out to find a cure. But Rex is only concerned about the woman he loves – Sapphire Stagg – and he’d risk all of Gotham to be with her. But her father – Simon Stagg – holds secrets of his own and will do anything to keep them apart.

Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation have released media for new animated short-form content set to debut this Saturday, August 17th, 2013 during the DC Nation programming block. The animated short “Super Pets – World’s Finest Bark” will make its debut this weekend. The hour-long DC Nation programming block airs Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00am (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network. The DC Nation animated shorts star a host of different DC Comics characters in varying styles, and are usually paired with live-action interstitials.
