Canadian Bilingual Package Art For “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Deluxe Edition” Blu-ray

Warner Home Video Canada has provided The World’s Finest with the Canadian bilingual package artwork for the upcoming Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Deluxe Edition Blu-ray home video release. The new special collection features both Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part Two animated movies, which were originally released separately in late 2012/early 2013, together as one package on both Blu-ray and DVD. The three-disc Deluxe Edition Blu-ray and two-disc Deluxe Edition DVD are set to hit shelves on October 8th, 2013, and will feature a mix of both exclusive content and previously-released content, in addition to both animated movies combined into a single narrative. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Deluxe Edition

Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation have released media for new animated short-form content set to debut this Saturday, September 28th, 2013 during the DC Nation programming block. The animated short “Deadman” will make its debut this weekend. The hour-long DC Nation programming block airs Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00am (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network. Beware The Batman
“Sacrifice” airs Saturday, September 28th, 2013 on Cartoon Network

Anarky returns once again to challenge Batman – but this time, his plan is far more deadly. Stealing a valuable object from the League of Assassins, Anarky pins the blame on Batman. At the same time, Anarky informs Batman that he knows where he can find the League. Although he knows it’s a trap, Batman goes with Katana anyway. As it turns out, Anarky has led both Batman, Katana, League leader Lady Shiva and her ninja assassins to a building that handles rare and deadly diseases. Once inside, Anarky releases one of the airborne viruses in the building. Now Batman and the others have to find a way to escape before being killed. One more thing: if the virus gets out…Gotham is doomed!

Warner Archive Collection and The Paley Center for Media, in conjunction with New York Comic Con, proudly present a special event celebrating Warner Archive’s upcoming Blu-ray™ release of Batman: The Brave And The Bold on Friday, October 11 at 7:00 pm. The popular animated television series will be celebrated with an episodic screening and a lively panel discussion featuring Diedrich Bader, the voice of Batman, at The Paley Center for Media in New York City (25 West 52nd Street).

Extremely popular on Cartoon Network, Batman: The Brave And The Bold teams the Dark Knight with some of DC Comics’ favorite and more eclectic heroes, including the Blue Beetle, Plastic Man, Green Lantern, Kamandi, Doctor Fate, Jonah Hex, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Mister Miracle and The Atom. The combinations create a perfect mesh of fast-paced action and humor for the first season, which spans 26 episodes.

Batman: The Brave And The Bold is Warner Archive Collection’s first-ever animated release on Blu-ray™ disc. Anticipated street date is early November 2013.

Fans attending the October 11 event will have the opportunity to watch an episode and select clips of Batman: The Brave And The Bold, and hear from a distinguished panel that will include Bader, producer James Tucker, 8-time Emmy Award-winning dialogue director Andrea Romano, and Warner Archive podcasters Matt Patterson and DW Ferranti. Moderator Gary Miereanu might even have some unique prizes waiting for a few lucky audience members.

New Image Released From Upcoming “Justice League: War” Animated Feature

Warner Home Video has released a new image from the upcoming direct-to-video Justice League: War animated feature. Green Lantern Hal Jordan takes the center stage in the newly-release content. The upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie title, scheduled for release come Early 2014 from Warner Home Video, will be an adaptation of the “Justice League: Origin” storyline recently published by DC Comics. “Justice League: Origin,” written by Geoff Johns with artwork by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, kicked off the comic publisher’s current ongoing “The New 52” comic-line initiative. Justin Kirk will provide the voice for Green Lantern in the animated feature.

Additional cast details for Justice League: War include Jason O’Mara as Batman, Alan Tudyk as Superman, Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Sean Astin as Shazam, and Steve Blum as Darkseid. Jay Oliva is confirmed as director for Justice League: War, with Heath Corson adapting the original “Justice League: Origin” comic book storyline.

Justice League: War is set for release come Early 2014 as part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line from Warner Home Video. Beware The Batman
“Control” airs Saturday, September 21st, 2013 on Cartoon Network

Desperate to gain access to the Ion Cortex after the kidnapping failure of Jason Burr, the League of Assassins instead send one of their specialized members to steal the information from Burr’s mind. Half human and half computer upgrade, the assassin Cypher breaks into Jason’s lab and takes over his mind. Batman and Katana try to stop him, but Katana inadvertently allows herself to be captured when she sees Jason being harmed. Now controlling both Jason and Katana, Cypher escapes with Batman in pursuit. Now, Batman must not only face Cypher, but his well-trained protégé Katana!
