First Look At Superman In “Justice League: War,” Warner Home Video At New York Comic-Con

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has provided The World’s Finest with a new image from the upcoming Justice League: War animated feature, along with additional updates concerning the studio’s presence at the New York Comic-Con 2013. The new image from the upcoming direct-to-video Justice League: War animated feature spotlights a first look at Superman, along with appearances by Batman and Green Lantern. The upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie title, scheduled for release come Early 2014 from Warner Home Video, will be an adaptation of the “Justice League: Origin” storyline recently published by DC Comics. “Justice League: Origin,” written by Geoff Johns with artwork by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, kicked off the comic publisher’s current ongoing “The New 52″ comic-line initiative. Main cast details for Justice League: War include Jason O’Mara as Batman, Alan Tudyk as Superman, Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Justin Kirk as Green Lantern, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Sean Astin as Shazam, and Steve Blum as Darkseid. Jay Oliva is the director for Justice League: War, with Heath Corson adapting the original “Justice League: Origin” comic book storyline.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment brings a fanboy buffet of super hero-inspired presentations to New York Comic Con this week, October 10-13, with the spotlight covering several exciting upcoming releases: the highly-anticipated animated film, Justice League: War; a star-studded salute to Superman’s 75th Anniversary, including the premiere of a Zack Snyder/Bruce Timm-produced animated short; the World Premiere of an all-new documentary, Necessary Evil: Super-Villains of DC Comics; new revelations from Batman: Arkham Origins, the next installment in the blockbuster videogame franchise; insightful Warner Archive Collection panels on both Alex Toth and classic, yet forgotten TV super heroes; and Warner Archive Collection’s special Friday night panel featuring Batman: The Brave and the Bold at The Paley Center for Media.

You won’t want to miss the World Premiere of a special 75th Anniversary animated short created by Man of Steel director Zack Snyder and Superman: The Animated Series producer Bruce Timm (who will be on-hand to present the short).
