“Young Justice: Invasion” Blu-Ray Announced, Includes Commentary And Featurette

Warner Archive Collection, the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment specialty label, has announced the Young Justice: Invasion Blu-ray is now available for pre-order. The 2-disc collection, featuring the final 20 second season episodes from the acclaimed animated series from Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation, inspired by the DC Comics characters, will be available starting November 18th, 2014 for $24.95US. In addition to the entire second season of Young Justice, the Blu-ray title will also include two commentary tracks and a featurette. Young Justice: Invasion will be available through most online retail outlets.

Thrilling Second Season of Popular Animated Series Comes to Blu-Ray

Warner Archive Collection brings another outstanding Warner Bros. Animation television series to Blu-ray with the November 18 release of Young Justice: Invasion, the thrilling second season of the popular series. Pre-orders are now available via wbshop.com.

Taking this release to another level, Warner Archive Collection has added an exclusive commentary track on the series finale episodes “Summit” and “Endgame” featuring creators Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti along with voice actors Jason Spisak (Kid Flash) and Stephanie Lemelin (Artemis). The package also includes a Behind the Scenes featurette.

Young Justice: Invasion finds our heroes five years into the future – and a lot can change in five years, as our super heroes are about to find out. First, there’s some new residents to be found at Mount Justice: new team leader Nightwing, Wondergirl, Blue Beetle, Batgirl, Bumblebee and Beast Boy. And Young Justice will need all the help it can get as an alien presence has infiltrated Earth, while certain members of the Justice League are forced to stand trial at the criminal hearing off-world. Watch as The Reach, spearheaded by the quick-talking Ambassador and backed by the muscle of Black Beetle, manipulates a trusting public while maintaining its shadowy maneuvering with The Light. This is a grand 20-episode adventure as the risks have never been greater and the conflicts never so far-reaching – and the epic finale will shatter everything you know!

In Young Justice, teenage heroes Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis are tasked by the Justice League to act as their covert operations team. Armed with superior skills, weaponry and powers, the team must do battle against a wide array of villains from the DC Universe while trying to prove to themselves, and to their superhero mentors, that they too have what it takes to be a hero. Consistent Ratings For Toonami “Beware The Batman” Farewell Marathon

Last month’s special Beware The Batman marathon on the popular Toonami programming block, found on Cartoon Network’s counterpart channel Adult Swim, pulled in consistent ratings for the acclaimed cartoon’s send-off. The final seven episodes for the series aired Saturday night, September 27th, 2014, as part of a special marathon before the network lost the broadcast rights. While not the highest-rated program in the massive programming block, Beware The Batman consistently ranked first in its timeslot among male-dominated demographics for Adult Swim’s Toonami, and averaged roughly 605,000 – 610,000 viewers per week. Beware The Batman originally joined the Toonami line-up back in May 2014.

Below are the ratings details for the seven episodes which aired as part of the September 27th, 2014 Beware The Batman marathon on Toonami.

When acquiring Beware The Batman, Adult Swim representatives said the network was committed to airing all 26 episodes of the animated series, and did as such thanks to this last-minute Toonami “Bat-blowout” marathon. The CG-animated series originally aired on Cartoon Network as part of the now-defunct DC Nation programming block, but was removed from the schedule in October 2013 for unexplained reasons.

The CG-animated series Beware The Batman featured The Dark Knight facing off against Gotham City’s criminal underworld with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana. Images, Description For Next Week’s “Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leagured” Animated Special

Cartoon Network has provided six images the upcoming animated one-shot Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered, a new special tying in to the upcoming Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham video game, airing Monday, October 27th, 2014 at 6:00pm (ET/PT). The one-shot movie special, written by Jim Krieg and produced by Brandon Vietti, is based on the highly-popular Lego DC Comics and Lego Batman toy franchises. The special is part of Cartoon Network’s “Hallo-Week” promotion, a week-long event of all-new special programming airing weeknights at 6:00pm (ET/PT) from Monday, October 27th, 2014 to Thursday, October 30th, 2014.

Lego DC Comics: “Batman Be-Leaguered”

Batman prides himself on being a loner, a totally self sufficient one-man band. He is understandably irritated when his nightly cleanup of Gotham City villains is interrupted by Superman, who pesters Batman to join his new Super-Hero team, the Justice League. After Batman makes it quite clear to the Man of Steel that his invitation has been declined, Superman flies off disappointed … whereupon he is overcome with a strange energy and vanishes!

With Earth’s mightiest super-being missing, it’s time for the World’s Greatest Detective to spring into action. With no time to lose and the entire planet to search, Batman enlists the aid of the fastest man alive, The Flash. Together their high- speed search leads them to the villainous Captain Cold, who is stealing an ancient artifact in Egypt. After the Flash has likewise vanished at the end of their battle with evil, Batman teams up with Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg to fight famous costumed Super-Villains before vanishing one-by-one at the hand of a mysterious enemy. It now falls to the Dark Knight, who alone must free the newly-formed Justice League from a powerful foe. But can Batman learn the value of being a team-player before the Justice League is lost forever?

Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered is directed by Rick Morales. The cast for the animated special includes Troy Baker as Batman, John Di Maggio as both Lex Luthor and Joker, Nolan North as both Superman and Alfred, and Paul Reubens as Batmite. A previously released video clip can be found below:

Teletoon Schedules Two-Part “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns” Animated Feature

The Canadian network Teletoon is slated to air Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part Two over two consecutive weeks as part of the its “Teletoon At Night: Superfan Movies” programming block. The 2012 direct-to-video Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One animated feature is slated to air Friday, October 24th, 2014 at 9:00pm (ET/PT), followed by the 2013 direct-to-video follow-up Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part Two on Friday, October 31st, 2014 at 9:00pm (ET/PT). The weekly “Teletoon At Night: Superfan Movies” programming block on Teletoon, airing Fridays starting at 9:00pm (ET/PT), features a mix of super-hero and sci-fi-based movies, both live-action and animated.

Adapting the acclaimed 1980s comic series, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns finds the Dark Knight, along with new sidekick Robin, battling iconic villains and facing down Superman. Both Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part Two titles fall under the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation, and DC Entertainment. Video Clip, Images For This Week’s New Episode Of “Teen Titans Go!”

Cartoon Network has provided The World’s Finest with stills and a video clip from this week’s new Teen Titans Go! episode “Serious Business,” airing Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 at 6:00pm (ET/PT). The half-hour comedy/adventure series – which features two 15-minute episodes – airs Thursdays at 6:00pm (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network, with rebroadcasts airing at select times during the week. Teen Titans Go! follows the comedic adventures of the teenage superhero team as they deal with what happens between the major battles. The new Teen Titans Go! segment “Serious Business” will be paired with a broadcasting of a previously-aired episode.
