Gentleman Ghost

PAUL DINI'S COMMENTS ON POSSIBLE SHOW APPEARANCE: "LIKELY, IF WE DO MORE CONTEMPORARY BATMAN STORIES."

My Comments:
Gentleman Ghost would be a very neat character to use in the show. In the comics, he started out as a Hawkman villain but eventually became a member of Batman's rogue's gallery. He'd be a fun addition to the show.

POSSIBLE VOICE ACTOR CHOICE: Patrick Stewart
I don't know if he'd do it, but Patrick Stewart, best known for his role as Cptn. Picard in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' and as Prof. X in "X-Men" would be the perfect Gentleman Ghost. His refined voice would give this character just the right touch of panache.

COMIC ORIGIN
REAL NAME: James (Gentleman Jim) Craddock
FIRST APPEARANCE: Flash Comics #88
ORIGIN: Though it has yet to be positively proved, the Gentleman Ghost claims to be the still-living spirit of Gentleman Jim Craddock, an English highwayman of the early 1800's who swore at the moment of his public execution that he would come back to loot the treasures of those who had condemned him. Even as he dropped through the gallows floor, in that elongated instant before the noose pulled taut about his neck, Craddock apparently plunged through a momentary rift in the fabric of time, and suddenly found himself on the streets of modern-day London, transformed into a bodiless spirit. True to his threat, the
self-proclaimed Gentleman Ghost began a crime spree that took him to all the great capitals of Europe. After a conflict with Hawkman, he resurfaced in Gotham City, only to find himself challenged by The Batman. Several battles to date between the two have ended with no clear-cut victor. It remains to be determined whether the Gentleman Ghost is a true phantom or merely an amazingly accomplished charlatan.
