Releases - DVD - Region Compatibility
You may not know it, but those who live in regions where DVD sets have
yet to be released may be surprised to hear that quite a few of the
recent season set releases of the DCAU, despite being marked as "Region
1", in fact read in other region players.
While almost all of the releases that have the ability to be played in a
Region 1, 2, 3 or 4 player have "Region Protection", since it's enabled
for the four regions. There are a few exceptions, as noted below, which
contain No Protection but are also either only Region 1 or 4. These were
tested in a R2 player and were found to not work at all, despite the
lack of protection.
