New Preview Images For Upcoming “Batman: The Animated Series” Figures From DC Collectibles

DC Collectibles has provided preview images for two figures from the upcoming Batman: The Animated Series 2014 line set for release by the collectable division of DC Comics. The preview images below provide a closer look at the sculpts used for the Mr. Freeze and Two-Face figures, both of which are slated to hit shelves later this year. DC Collectibles announced the release of a new line of action figures based on the highly influential Batman: The Animated Series cartoon earlier this year, part of DC Entertainment’s ongoing “Batman 75″ anniversary celebrations. The DC Collectible Batman: The Animated Series line will feature a selection of figures based directly from the character designs of the famed animated series, including Batman and his allies and enemies.

The DC Collectibles team is using the actual original character design sheets used by the Batman: The Animated Series creative team to ensure the figures are as accurate as possible. All of the figures are in the 1/12th or 6-inch scale and will be accurately scaled in relation to Batman.

The Hub Removes “Batman: The Animated Series,” Keeps “Superman: The Animated Series,” Returns “Batman Beyond”

The Hub network has announced a few changes to the channel’s daily schedule, including the removal of the classic Batman: The Animated Series from the weekday line-up. Starting Monday, December 2nd, 2013, the weekday 8:00am (ET) airings of Batman: The Animated Series will be replaced with repeats of Transformers Animated. The network has not confirmed at this time if this is a temporary or permanent removal of the series from the schedule. The classic Batman: The Animated Series episodes “Christmas with the Joker” and “Holiday Knights” are scheduled to air as part of special holiday-programming on The Hub network. It is up to Batman and Robin to stop him before the stroke of midnight.
