Warner Archive Collection, the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment specialty label, has announced the Young Justice: Invasion Blu-ray is now available for pre-order. The 2-disc collection, featuring the final 20 second season episodes from the acclaimed animated series from Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation, inspired by the DC Comics characters, will be available starting November 18th, 2014 for $24.95US. In addition to the entire second season of Young Justice, the Blu-ray title will also include two commentary tracks and a featurette. Young Justice: Invasion will be available through most online retail outlets.

Warner Archive Collection brings another outstanding Warner Bros. Animation television series to Blu-ray with the November 18 release of Young Justice: Invasion, the thrilling second season of the popular series. Pre-orders are now available via wbshop.com.

Taking this release to another level, Warner Archive Collection has added an exclusive commentary track on the series finale episodes “Summit” and “Endgame” featuring creators Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti along with voice actors Jason Spisak (Kid Flash) and Stephanie Lemelin (Artemis). The package also includes a Behind the Scenes featurette.

Young Justice: Invasion finds our heroes five years into the future – and a lot can change in five years, as our super heroes are about to find out. First, there’s some new residents to be found at Mount Justice: new team leader Nightwing, Wondergirl, Blue Beetle, Batgirl, Bumblebee and Beast Boy. And Young Justice will need all the help it can get as an alien presence has infiltrated Earth, while certain members of the Justice League are forced to stand trial at the criminal hearing off-world. “Beware The Batman,” “Young Justice,” DC Nation Nab Daytime Emmy Nominations

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the nominees for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and a few DC Comics-inspired animated programs received nominations. Beware The Batman leads the pack with four nominations in total, three specifically for the episode “Secrets.” Young Justice and the DC Nation-branded animated shorts also nabbed one nomination each. The CG-animated series Beware The Batman is slated to return to Cartoon Network, after a lengthy seven-month hiatus, as part of it’s older audience-skewering Adult Swim programming counterpart starting Saturday, May 10th, 2014 at 3:00am (ET/PT). Young Justice, which ran for two seasons from 2010-2013, finished its 46-episode run on Cartoon Network last year. Both programs aired as part of the now defunct DC Nation hour-long programming block, which used to air weekend mornings on Carton Network. The block itself is now reduced to a banner name under which DC Comics-inspired short-form programming airs. These shorts currently air during the first commercial break following episodes of Teen Titans Go!. Teen Titans Go! airs Wednesday nights at 6:30pm (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network.

DC Nation “Batman Beyond” Animated Short Availability Goes Wide

The “Batman 75″ DC Nation animated short “Batman Beyond,” which debuted over the weekend at the WonderCon 2014 comic convention, is now available wide for all online outlets. The special animated short was created as part of DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Entertainment and DC Comics’ combined celebration efforts to mark the 75th anniversary of Batman’s first appearance in the 1939 comic Detective Comics #27.

The nearly 90-second short-form adventure revisits the world of the classic Batman Beyond animated series, bringing together members of the original show’s cast and crew. The “Batman Beyond” animated short was written and directed by Darwyn Cooke; starring the voices of Will Friedle and Kevin Conroy; featuring music by Kristopher Carter, Mike McCuistion & Lolita Ritmanis; with additional guitar work by Gabe Moses. Batman Beyond follows the adventures of a young Batman in the future mentored by an aging Bruce Wayne.
