Classic “Batman Beyond” Animated Series Scheduled For The Hub Network

The classic Batman Beyond animated series, which originally debuted on The WB/KidsWB! before moving to Cartoon Network, will have a place on the schedule of the upcoming The Hub network. The Hub network is the rebranding of the current Discovery Kids cable/satellite channel, and is being marketed as a new network, with a scheduled launch date for October 10, 2010. Repeats of the classic Batman Beyond animated series are expected to air as of the channel’s launch.

The Hub, a multi-platform joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc., will feature original programming as well as content from Discovery’s library of children’s educational programming; from Hasbro’s portfolio of entertainment and educational properties built during the past 90 years; and from leading third-party producers worldwide. The Hub lineup will include animated and live-action series, specials and game shows, and the network will extend its content through a robust and engaging online presence. The Hub will launch October 10, 2010, reaching approximately 60 million U.S. households on what is currently Discovery Kids channel.
