RetroFit Films Thanks Fans, Requests No Further “The Zeta Project” Contributions

Last month Amy Silliman came to The World’s Finest in order to hear from fans of The Zeta Project. Silliman wanted to hear directly from the fans, requesting submissions for questions to appear on the 2009 The Zeta Project DVD release. Since that news post, Silliman says that the response has been overwhelming and, with interviews for the upcoming DVD release wrapping up, she is asking for fans to no longer send in questions.

Silliman told The World’s Finest that she received responses from a number fans, and it helped to determine what topics would be covered for the upcoming DVD bonus features. Silliman says the help was invaluable and was grateful for the support.

But, again, with Silliman is now asking that fans no longer send in any further questions. The World’s Finest would like to emphasize that, and hope fans will respect her request. Silliman would also like to sincerely thank the countless fans and websites that helped out on this endeavor to ensure the fans get a quality product when The Zeta Project comes to DVD next year.

The World’s Finest would also like to thank Toon Zone News, TV Shows on DVD, and Comics2Film for spreading the word on this event.

Stay tuned for further updates. The Zeta Project is expected to hit DVD in early 2009.

Fans Given Opportunity To Help On Upcoming “The Zeta Project” DVD

The World’s Finest was recently contacted by Amy Silliman of Retrofit Films, who will be working on the bonus features for the upcoming The Zeta Project DVD release. Silliman is reaching out to fans to make sure the bonus features are top quality and does the series justice. Silliman sent the following to The World’s Finest, as seen below.

Hello everyone!

My name is Amy and I am a producer working on something very special for “The Zeta Project.” I cant say too much because of particular confidentiality agreements, but I thought by going to the Toon Zone forum I would get the best response. I will be having a round table discussion with some of the key creative heads who worked on “The Zeta Project.” The goal of this discussion is to talk more in-depth about the characters and their stories and to answer any questions that fans of “The Zeta Project” would have. I can not release the names of these artists, but I would like to hear anything at all you would like to ask them. Now this will be for a private interview I will be having with them later this month (it has yet to be decided when this interview will be released) I can’t say much more, other than I would love to have some feedback from the fans themselves on what they would ask if they had the chance. Let me know what you are curious about! Anything at all! Please send all your questions to Amy@retrofitfilms.com.

Thank you!

The World’s Finest will keep you completely updated an any further news regarding the upcoming The Zeta Project DVD release. Stay tuned for further updates.

“The Zeta Project” On DVD In 2009, “Batman: The Animated Series” Blu-rays Considered

Warner Home Video held their annual Home Theater Forum chat regarding television shows and animation on DVD and several DC Animation-related projects were asked about. For fans of the DCAU, news on a DVD release of The Zeta Project was big news, as well as a surprise. The robot Zeta, lead character of The Zeta Project, first appeared on Batman Beyond.

Toward the end of the chat, Warner Home Video revealed that The Zeta Project would see a 2009 release on DVD. Many more DC cartoon releases were mentioned, including other DCAU titles. A complete series collection for Superman: The Animated Series is also being considered, as is a special edition for Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, something fans have been asking for for over two years. Warner Home Video is also seriously considering releasing Batman: The Animated Series on the Blu-ray format. No mention was made of a new possible Static Shock DVD release. For now, the only confirmed release of the above-mentioned titles is The Zeta Project. Complete DVD releases of Static Shock and The Zeta Project have been requested year after year by fans eager to have a complete library of DCAU animation. During the chat, Warner Home Video stated their goal is to release the entire DC Comics animation library onto DVD.

Stay tuned for further updates, including specific information on the upcoming The Zeta Project DVD release.
