New Screenshots Revealed For Upcoming “Young Justice: Legacy” Video Game Release
Video game publisher Little Orbit has released two new images from the upcoming Young Justice: Legacy video game. The title, released in conjuncture with Warner Bros. Interactive, is based on the popular Young Justice animated series. The new video game will launch February 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS and Wii. The above images show heroes Nightwing and Artemis facing off against foes on the island of Santa Prisca.
Nightwing and Artemis – along with Superboy, Miss Martian, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Zatanna, Tempest, Beast Boy, Robin, Rocket, and Batgirl – make up the roster of playable heroes in Young Justice: Legacy. Facing off against these twelve heroes include Lex Luthor, Sportsmaster, Cheshire, Icicle Jr., Killer Frost, Black Manta, Psimon, Riddler, Blockbuster, Bane, Klarion, and a mysterious twelfth villain. According to publisher Little Orbit, the twelfth villain will be one created specifically for the Young Justice: Legacy video game, with input from the creative team of the Young Justice animated series to ensure everything falls properly within the show’s continuity.
Little Orbit plans to release new material on a steady basis – including more screenshots, artwork, and much more – leading up to the debut of the game’s trailer come June 2012.
Young Justice: Legacy is an Action RPG where players control multiple characters in a squad created from twelve possible team members to explore, fight, gather experience, and level up. It will feature both solo and multiplayer missions that follow an epic plotline spanning many locations all across the DC Comics world of Earth-16.
Young Justice: Legacy will feature an original storyline set in between Seasons One and Two of the television series, written in collaboration with show writers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti. How the game will fit in between the two seasons has yet to be revealed. According to publisher Little Orbit, the game will feature fan-favorite playable characters, cameo appearances by popular Justice League heroes and villains, and includes online multiplayer as well as local multiplayer modes. Little Orbit states the game will fit seamlessly into the overall storyline of the Young Justice world.
