“Batman Versus Robin” And “Justice League: Gods And Monsters” Announced For 2015 DC Animated Universe Original Movie Slate

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment released details for the 2015 titles of the acclaimed DC Universe Animated Original Movie home video line at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. The new 2015 titles, which highlight Batman and the Justice League, were announced on Friday, July 24th, 2014 during the world premiere of the new Batman: Assault on Arkham animated feature.

The upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie titles announced include Batman Versus Robin, which will feature The Court of Owls from the Batman comic series, coming for Summer 2015. Please note, the movie is not an adaptation of the storyline of the same name. Then, Justice League: Gods and Monsters will see release come Mid/Late 2015, and will be an original story written by Alan Burnett and directed by Sam Liu. These two titles will join the previously announced Justice League: Throne of Atlantis animated feature, slated for Winter/Spring 2014, with details on that title originally broken right here at The World’s Finest.

A co-production of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line adapts stories from DC Comics lore mixed with new content. At least three new titles have been released a year since the line’s inception in 2007.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Gary Miereanu screened the Batman: Assault on Arkham animated feature, based on the popular “Batman: Arkham” video game series at San Diego Comic-Con before announcing details on the upcoming 2015 titles.
